February - Intermediate Computer ClassesBoost your computer knowledge with Intermediate Computer Classes hosted by the Huntsville Public Library! Classes will be held from 11 to 12 p.m. or 5 to 6 p.m. Tuesdays, in the Jane & Charles Monday Computer Room. These hour-long classes will feature how to create and save files, move files into folders, delete file types, and download files and programs. Class size is limited and registration is required. A library card is needed to participate in the classes. If you don’t have a card, bring your ID! If you answered yes, join us at the Huntsville Public Library for Free Social Media Classes scheduled from 11 to 12 p.m. or 5 to 6 p.m. Tuesdays in March. Learning how to use social media sites could help improve both your technology and networking skills. The four networks that will be taught are Facebook, LinkedIn, YouTube, and Pinterest. Facebook is a social networking website where people can connect with friends and family around the world. LinkedIn is like Facebook, but for the business community. YouTube is a video-sharing website, and Pinterest is an application designed to find and discover ideas for anything from DIY crafts to hairstyles and recipes. Adults 17 and older can learn about these applications. Class size is limited and registration is required.
